The Martin F-Series, introduced in 1962, were Martin's first proper electric guitars. These F models were thinline hollow bodied archtops with F-holes. The bodies were maple plywood and less than 2 inches thick and all had single coil DeArmond Dynasonic pickups. There were two single cutaway models - the F-50 had one pickup and the F-55 two pickups. The double-cutaway F-65 completed the line up. The F-65 was available with a Bigsby bridge.
