OM-28LE

Limited edition run of 41 instruments (39 domestic, 2 foreign).

A special note from Martin: "As a general rule, Martin has produced two prototypes of each limited edition in order to develop model specifications and help determine production costs. Generally these prototypes are not for sale. However, due to factory space constrictions, many prototypes have already or eventually may be sold."

This particultar specimen is stamped "LIMITED EDITION OM-28" and not "OM-28LE" and the Limited Edition label is signed by both C. F. Martin III and C. F. Martin IV.  The stamp leads me to think that it may be one of the prototypes.  They had one in the store that I looked at, and when I went back to buy it, it had already been sold.  They made some phone calls and found this one, which I bought.
