1966 to 1969

The Mosrite Ventures bass was introduced as a result of the 1963 marketing and distrubtion deal between Mosrite and the Ventures group. The Ventures Bass has the classic Mosrite upside down Strat shaped body, distinctive German carve, angled neck pickup and M shape notched headstock. It was used by the Ventures' Bob Bogel and is pictured on the front of "The Ventures Knock Me Out!" album. The bass has a thin relatively short-scale neck with a zero fret and low frets - all designed to improve playability.

The 1963-1965 model had a single pickup. In 1966 the Ventures bass was changed to a 2 pickup version and also switched to tulip/duckfoot shaped tuners. By 1969 the deal with the Ventures had ended and Mosrite stopped production.
