Dates of manufacture:
The Music Man Luke model is the Steve Lukather signature model. Introduced in 1994 it started out as a Music Man design. The Luke model had a Floyd Rose locking vibrato, 2 single coil/1 humbucker EMG pickups, volume control, 5-position switch, active electronics and came in Pearl Blue or Pearl Red finishes.
In 1998 the design of the Luke model was updated to better fit with Lukather's requirements. This Luke II model featured a Music Man vintage-style tremolo, Schaller M6-IND, locking tuners, custom wound EMG-SLV single coil pickups, volume and tone controls. Luke Blue (Light Pearl Blue) finish was introduced; Pearl Blue and Pearl Red finishes were discontinued.
In 2012 another generation of the guitar called the LIII (Luke III) was introduced with slightly larger body, rosewood neck and passive pickup configuration options (dual humbucker or HSS) combined with an active preamp and boost circuit controlled from a push/push tone control.
Piezo bridge is an option on this model.
