The National Reso-Phonic RTB (Radio Tone Bendaway) acoustic resonator bass had a Tobacco-burst single cutaway to the 15th fret on the treble side. The RTB bass had a Radio-Tone Bendaway style body with solid maple sides and a laminate wood top and back, giving it a modern look with its slotted sound ports
The RTB Bass came in both fretted and fretless versions, with a hardrock maple neck, ebony fretboard and 32" scale length. A Highlander IP-1X pickup was an optional extra.
