The National Reso-Phonic WB acoustic single resonator bass was introduced in 2002. The National WB bass uses a standard guitar body but with a 32" scale neck. The WB Bass came in fretted and fretless versions and was made in limited quantities. The WB had a hollow maple body with single resonator, maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The fretless model could be ordered with inlaid ivoriod fretlines. The National WB Bass could also be ordered with a Highlander Pickup and preamp installed. Hardware was chrome colour and the finish was vintage sunburst.
