This 1954 Gibson Les Paul goldtop was offered for sale on ebay in March 2010, and it's completely original except for a plastic jack plate.

The neck has a soft V profile: thickness is 1.05 inches at the first fret and 0.89" at the 12th fret.  It weighs 7.9 pounds, relatively light for a Les Paul. One of the potetiometers has 134323 printed on it.  Pickups are 2 P-90s: the P-90 pickup output is 7.61 (bridge) and 8.04 (neck).

The Vintage Guitar Pricing Guide  (2008) estimates a value of $40,000 to $80,000 for a 1954 goldtop like this.
