This 1983 telecaster became Jeff Buckley's main instrument when he moved to New York: he recorded his famous album Grace with it. Buckley got the guitar from his friend Janine Nichols, originally as a loan - but he became so attached to it that Nichols suggested he should keep it and buy her a Gibson acoustic instead. It is more or less standard - Buckley had the bridge pickup was changed for an SD rail pickup. Its original owner, Janine Nichols had swapped the original white pickguard for a chrome one in honour of Chrissie Hynde. 

This guitar is for sale on the Vintage and Rare Guitars website for $50,000.
