The Ovation UK II (Ultra Kamen II, model #1291) has a distinctive double cutaway body made from Urelite (urethane). This tough and light Urelite body is molded over a rigid aluminum frame to create an integral unit from the bridge to the bonded neck joint and on to the nut. The arched-top body is carefully balanced for comfort and control and shaped to hug the body ergonomically. The volume, tone and pickup selector controls can all be adjusted within the hands normal playing arc. Unique SPS switches afford fingertip control over the high output bar-style pickups. The UK IIs advanced double coil humbucking pickups are designed to reproduce a thick sound without distorting. Chrome plated bar style pole pieces are non-magnetised to reduce string pull. Each coil coil has around ten thousand turns of copper wire. The neck is two-piece Honduran mahogany, with a 10" radius ebony fingerboard.
