Difiance Guitars make hand crafted electric and acoustic guitars, basses, and ukuleles. The business was founded by Rob Ristow who studied stringed instrument repair at Red Wing Technical college, graduating in 1992. Since then Ristow has made and repaired many instruments, working in first in Winona, Minnesota before starting a workshop in Saint Paul.

Gruhn

Gruhn Guitars is a legendary guitar shop established in 1970 by guitar expert George Gruhn which went on to become perhaps the world's best vintage guitar store. In 2023 after 53 years selling guitars Gruhn decided to start his own brand - beginning with the Versitar acoustic model. The Versitar is so called because of its versatility: it sounds good whether strummed, flat-picked, thumb-picked, or played finger-style.

The Versitar is available with a wide variety of tonewood options including: mahogany, rosewood, spruce, cedar, black locust, walnut, ash, Osage orange, holly, and exotics including cocobolo, Nicaraguan and Brazilian rosewood. The sound hole is offset and teardrop shaped and it comes with a cutaway and practical bolt-on neck. The Versitar guitars are made in Lebanon, Tennessee, under the direction of Jay Myer, (previously with Martin Guitars).
