The Santa Cruz H-13 was introduced in 2005. The H-13 is a 13 frets to the body small bodied acoustic inspired by the Gibson ‘Nick Lucas Special’ from the 1920’s. The “H” designation is an tribute to Paul Hostetter, who commissioned the first prototype of this model in 1978. Santa Cruz aimed to maximize the volume of the H-13 beyond what is normally expected of small bodied guitars. To this end they have used a 25.375" scale length and a relatively deep body. The H-13 has an ebony fingerboard (with no position markers) and at 1.75" wide it's perfect for finger style blues and vocal accompaniment.
