The Schecter Hollywood Custom is a Tom Anderson style superstrat introduced in 1996. The Hollywood Series was become the flagship of the Schecter line. Borrowing from the popular Sunset Series body stylings the Hollywood Series added an highly figured flamed or quilted maple top over either a Southern swamp ash or Honduran mahogany back. Hollow 'Tone' chambers were also sometimes carved into the body for added richness. Figured Bird‘s eye maple was used for the Hollywood Series necks. Custom hand-color tinting assured that no two Hollywood Series instruments looked the same. The Hollywood custom featured a Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo (Floyd Rose was also an option) and 6-in-a-row Sperzel locking tuners for tuning stability. While the H/S/S pickup configuration was the most popular, this could be altered to any player's taste.
