Seagull Guitars introduced the Artist Series Studio model in 2003. It had a solid rosewood back, laminated rosewood sides with a solid spruce top and was the flagship model of the Artist Series. Rich sound with ample dynamics and projection means the Artist Studio is equally at home on stage, in more intimate fully acoustic settings and an exceptional choice for recording - hence the "Studio" name. The basic Seagull Artist Studio was model number 21819 but the Studio was available with optional electronics: element electronics (model 22557), Quantum II EQ electronics (model 22564) or I-Beam Duet electronics (model 21956).
The Seagull Artist Studio was made up until 2011: the cutaway version is still available as the Artist Studio CW model.
