The 1972 SG Standard was bought to replace my old 1974 SG Standard. Both guitars had coil tap systems added and pick-ups changed around, but no breaks or repairs. Well played and LOUD. I also have owned an old Gibson Les Paul 'Black beauty' MOP inlays on ebony fretboard and an excellent player, and a Fender Strat. I have a lower end 1997 Gibson SG Special also as a workhorse. Nice to have some good guitars. I quite like the new Gibson SG Modern 2019, but am thinking about it.
