Ugo Casalonga has been a luthier since 1982, specialising in the Cetera (Corsican cittern) and ancient music instruments. He founded his lutheiry workshop "Casa Liutaiu" with the ambition to revive the traditional Corsican instruments. For more than 35 years, he has combined artistry and craftsmanship into instruments of strong personality and authenticity. In his Balagne (Haute-Corse) workshop in Pigna he creates, manufactures and restores string instruments. Plucked strings such as citterns, guitars, harpsichords, guitars and citolels, as well as bowed strings, lira da braccio, vièles.
