In the early 1980s Takamine released the EA360S model acoustic electric guitar. It had a V shaped body (special editions also had a V shaped headstock) with V shaped fingerboard inlays and a triangular soundhole. It became known as the "Acoustic Flying V" or the "Flying A".  This was a very rare model with around 800 made. It came in natural, metallic red and metallic blue finishes.
