Gakken Mini Guitar Kit - number 26

The Japanese Gakken Mook series is a range of self assembly kits each with an accompanying mook (magazine-book). Kit number 26 is a particularly cool build-it-yourself miniature guitar. The kit has around 20 parts and should take an hour to put together, with the finished 4 string instrument about 15 inches long and 5 inches wide.

VOX amPlug

The Vox amPlug is a range of mini headphone amplifiers designed to simulate the sound famous amplifiers. The amPlug plugs directly into your guitar.

You can choose one of three amp options: VOX AC30, Classic Rock (Marshall), or Metal (Mesa-Boogie). There is an auxiliary input that allows you to you jam along with your CD or MP3 player. Circuitry is all analog. Manufacturers claim up to 15 hours of battery lifewith the supplied AAA batteries (depending on how hard you rock!). Dimensions are 86 x 80 x 31 (mm) or 3.39" x 3.15" x 1.22".
