Warwick introduced the Corvette $$ (Double Buck) 5-String bass in 2005. It has an American Swamp Ash body, laminated wnge neck, wenge fingerboard, 24 jumbo bronze extra hard frets, illuminated side dots, two passive passive Nordstrand MM style humbuckers. Hardware is black with natural oil finish. There is are also Warwick Pro-Series and Rockbass versions of the Corvette $$ which are cheaper than the German made Warwick Custom Shop version.

Introduced in 2005 the Warwick Corvette $$ (Double Buck) is available in 4,5 and 6 string versions.  The $$ has two Passive MEC MM-Style humbuckers - which are positioned unusually close together and at some distance from the bridge. Finish options are Natural Oil Finish, Coloured Oil Finish or High Polish Finish. Also available fretless - the fretless ones have tigerstripe ebony fingerboards. Position markers are illuminated dots on the side of the fingerboard.

The Warwick Corvette Standard was introduced in 1995 - replacing the similar Corvette Proline model. Introduction of the Corvette double-buck $$ model, which is like the Corvette Standard but with two humbuckers, led to a decline in the popularity of the Corvette Standard model. Available as 4,5 or 6 string, fretted/fretless and with active or passive electronics the Corvette Standards were originally made in Germany but production moved to Korea.
