Washburn D-29S original 1982

Mine has silver tuners, plastic bridge and string pegs, round mother-of-pearl fret markers.
Warmer sound than the brass tuners. Beautiful tone after 30 years. Have always had some issues with fret buzz but probably due to my bad technique.

Washburn D29S 12 String.

I bought this guitar in Whyalla South Australia in 1982.  Still plays beautifully and gets better and better with age.  It has brass string pegs, bridge and nut and gold (plated?) tuners.  I think the back and sides are solid Mahogany and the top looks to be Cedar (2 piece).  Fingerboard is solid rosewood.  Soundhole has 3 concentric bands of various wood inlay.  Serial number 94816.

Bone is the way to go

Got a bone nut, and an intonated bone bridge. The luthier fixed the buzz, lowered the action, and it plays like new. Amazing difference. Warmer and louder.

Sound monster

Added bone nut and intonated saddle, refretted and lowered action. Mine was made in the Chicago area. Sounds like a Martin dreadnought- or better- easily matches a $3000 guitar from more famous brands.
