The Washburn Stage Series - made up of the HM and A models, started in 1980. Many aspiring rockers played a HM-20. The A series model bodies were somewhere between Explorer and Firebird shape. These A models were discontinued in 1985 but were reissued in 1996 as the A10, A20, and a rare A-30 Artist Series.There were also Stage Series basses: the B5 and B20.
The Stage A series had various electronics and pickup options. The A-5 had telecaster style pickups and controls, the A-10 & A 20 had Les Paul style electronics whereas the A-15 had strat style pickups and controls.
