Bought a Honey/Tobacco Sunburst as featured above in 1988. When I came to live in Australia. Still have it and it is still my Favorite. It has mellowed and matured over the years into a very loud bright and full projection. only time can achieve this. Also have an APX 1200 top of the line model; however the sound and pre-amp of the APX 20 leaves the Pre-amp of the 1200 for dead. Have had the APX re-fretted and neck laser sanded to bring it back to perfect after years of playing. seen very few of these ever sold second hand and they are usually 3 to 4 times the price if you can find one.
Well built, comfortable to play. Still better than any other high end name around today, and I've tried a lot of them.

Stunning guitar - had mine since 1989 - white when I got it and is now a lovely soft creamy white. Tone has mellowed too. What it is worth I don't know - I just know I hardly ever see one mentioned or offered on the market. Perfect instrument

If the date of manufacture was from 1994 until 1996, I don't understand how the reviewer could have gotten his in 1989. At the same time, I have one that I got in 1994, and it is a
nice "knock around" guitar that sounds great when plugged into my Carver M500 stereo amp, but leaves something to be desired when unplugged. It doesn't project well, probably
because of the thin 3 and 3/8' body as well as the maple sides and back. It looks great, and after 20 years, it is still holding together perfectly, no finish clouding as I have heard about
in other reviews. Fun guitar to knock around on!
