It's an excellent semi-pro instrument for modern styles, with great sustain and playability. The low B string has superb definition and clarity. Bolt-on: 6 screws. 3 piece neck. Back then I wasn't experienced enough and hoped to buy an more vintage sounding instrument, but it's definitely not. I bought my in 2006 (demo instrument with full warranty) in Germany for 800 Euro. For this price there is still nothing equal on todays market: 'Made in Japan' and 'New'. If you are not looking for authentic p-bass or j-bass, but open, modern, ‘orchestral’ sounding bass guitar: this is your instrument.
