The Yamaha Weddington Custom was introduced in the early 1990s and made until around 1995. It was Yamaha's update on the classic Les Paul design altered to meet the demands of the contemporary guitarist. Although this guitar was somewhat overlooked at the time  the Weddington Custom combines beautiful styling and solid workmanship with tremendous playability and tonal versatility in a rock-solid instrument. It has a dramatically sculpted neck joint which opens the upper reaches of the neck, while selected woods and DiMarzio humbucking pickups team up to deliver great tonal depth and range.

Pickups are DiMarzio DHB2 and DHB3 humbuckers, controlled by a versatile pickup switching system which provides five distinctly different tones, all fully hum-cancelling. The treble pickup tone knob becomes a coil blend control in one position for a range of unique tonal possibilities.
