Chapman Guitars was established by UK distributer Barnes & Mullins in collaboration with Rob Chapman in 2009. Rob Chapman is a guitarist best known for his YouTube product demonstration videos for Orange Amplifiers, Marshall Amplification, Faith Guitars, World Guitars and Andertons Music. The Chapman Guitars philosophy was to offer the best possible body and neck at any given price point, accepting that the customer could always replace hardware like pickups - so these parts were typically cheaper. Chapman made use of his extensive YouTube following to find out the features his subscribers desired in a guitar and the first Chapman model, the ML-1, was born. Chapman Guitars were initially made in China but production was moved to South Korea in 2013
