Daniel De Jong has started making classical guitars in 2000, his workshop is located in Hobart, Tasmania. De Jong is a largely self taught luthier, but he also learnt skills from his boat building father and his uncle who makes classical and flamenco guitars. The main influences are from Spanish guitar makers,  Ignacio Fleta, Jose Ramirez and a Manuel Reyes and he aspires to recreare the tone and craftsmanship of these makers.
