JG Guitar Works was established around 2009 by Jake Goede in New Braunfels, Texas. Goede is a graduate of the luthiery program at Atlanta Guitar Works, who went to work at Birdsong Guitars where he has been head luthier since 2008. When not roughing out some of the finest boutique basses in the world at Birdsong (and SD Curlee USA), he makes guitars of his own, hand carving every JG guitar or bass from start to finish.
