Information:
Staccato was a UK musical instrument company which made guitars and drums. It was founded around 1977 by Sculptor Patrick Townshend who set up a workshop in Notting Hill Gate, London. The initial product was an asymmetric fibreglass drum design - which is still made. Townshend also produced around 200 guitars from 1985 to 1987 made from a magnesium alloy. Patrick left the company in 1987 but Staccato continued to make drums.
