The Fernandes LE-1X was introduced around 1994. This model had slightly different hardware to the LE-1 model. Also the LE-1X had an alder body compared to the basswood used in the later LE-1s. The LE-1X had three Fernandes VS-5T single coil pickups (compared to the VS-4 pickups on the LE-1 guitar). The bridge was a Fernandes FST-1CT compared to the FST-1C on the LE-1.
