You might have thought Ovation would have given this model a George Orwell theme, but no it is pretty much standard fare. This was a super shallow plastic bowl backed 6-string eletro-acoustic guitar. Leaf adornments (Ovation called them 5 piece epaulets) around the clustered soundholes (a bit like the Adamas model but with a cut-away). "1984" inlaid before the 12th fret. The top was solid spruce. Gold plated machine heads. The bridge was walnut with piezoelectric transducer.
Jaimie Muehlhausen once owned one of these guitars, read about it at his blog The Ones That Got Away (a la recherche du guitars perdu). Bought for around $1200 in 1985.
