The Yamaha APX7 CT was a thinline electro-acoustic 6 string guitar. The top was spruce and it had ovangkol nack and sides. Body dimensions were: neck side- 75mm (2-15/16")  and bridge side 85mm (3-3/8").

Neck was African mahogany with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. Bridge was Indian rose wood, the nut and saddle were made of urea. Machine heads were Yamaha TM-29G (Gold) units.  Scale length was 25-5/8". the Fingerboard length was 1-11/16" (43mm).

The APX7 CT had a Yamaha System 28B Mono 1 way Piezo Pickup (Bridge) with 3 Band EQ, EQ Pass, A.M.F., Volume controls. Finish was natural satin only.
