 | YAMAHA SBG 1000The Yamaha SBG 1000 was made between 1982 and 1989. These were the US marketed versions of the earlier 1970s SG1000 model - possibly for legal reasons Yamaha stopped using the "SG" prefix in the USA in the early1980s. The SBG1000 has a set neck with rosewood fingerboard, double cutaway thin and light mahogany body - with carved maple top. The SBG1000's 2 humbucking pickups are basically the same as those in the SBG2000 but without covers - for extra sharp highs and more punch. There is a coil-tap switch, smooth linear volume and tone controls for each pickup. |
