The Japanses made Antoria brand has been around since the 1950s and was initially distributed in the UK by J.T. Coppock and CSL. Antoria electrics appeared in the years to follow, which in the 1970s were often copies of Gibson designs. In the 1980s John Lawson aquired the Antoria brand was was owned and distributed Antoria instruments until 2006. In 2007 Adam Hall bought the Antoria brand from John Lawson and re-introduced Korean made Antoria instruments into the market. Tim Gentle Music, who purchased Antoria from Adam Hall in 2010 and introduced Chinese made Acoustic and Electro-Acoustic models.
