Daisy Rock started as a Schecter sub-brand to market guitars for girls (Miley Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, and Hannah Montana superstar endorses Daisy Rock guitars.). They also produce children's guitars, like the Daisy series of electric instruments with a daisy-shaped body and leaf-shaped headstock.
The majority of Daisy Rock guitars are built in the Far East. They are designed with light-weight bodies and narrower necks. Some models also incorporate a shorter scale length. These design features supposed to make the guitars easier to play for girls and women with smaller bodies and hands. The colors, finishes and body shapes are also designed to appeal to females.
In 2003, Daisy Rock left Schecter Guitars, and entered into a partnership deal with Alfred Publishing, a leading educational music publisher.
