Ferdinand van den Berg graduated at an Amsterdam school for cabinet making and woodworking in 2001, after four years of study. During this course, he made two acoustic guitars and one lapsteel. He also helped with repairs at "The String" an Amsterdam guitar shop. After working for three years as a technician for the Dutch Opera and The Dutch National Ballet, he decided to establish himself as a full time as a guitar maker. He offers electric, acoustic and lap-steel guitars.
