Series name:

Dates of manufacture:

1967 to 1968

Production of the ASB-1 DEVIL BASS began in 1967 and ended in 1968. t was nicknamed the Devil Bass because its two long wicked looking horns - said to have been inspired by the Danelectro longhorn design. The body has two triangular cut-out holes going right though it. Relatively few of these were made (around 100 according to Bruce Johnson) and they were not a commercial success being rather heavy and clumsy to play.
