Ray Dearstone began making guitars and mandolins in 1980, in Bristol, Tennessee. Dearstone's mandolins have recievied recognition and praise from many top bluegrass players including Dempsey Young and Shawn Lane. Dearstone also makes acoustic flat-top and archtop guitars as well as an electric double bass.
