Ciaran McNally studied instrument making in London Metropolitan University before returning home to Northern Ireland in 2011 to complete an apprenticeship with Sam Irwin. He then worked for Lowden for a couple of years, before a job at a coffee roasting company - all the while still making his own brand guitars. McNally now works at Atkin Guitars but still makes some of his own McNally instuments.
