I picked one of these up at a pawn shop in Dayton Ohio recently, it was full of cat hair, and had dried out so much the top was folding in on itself around the sound hole. Some fool had taken a file to the TOP of the saddle, in an attempt to lower the action, and the fishman system was so corroded inside that the only noise it made was a weird crackly hum. The neck, however, oh lord the neck! My wife and I have over 30 guitars, and this is the most beautiful neck! it fits in my hand like it was custom made for me. I am on the verge of buying another one, just because the neck is so perfect. Once I got it cleaned out, and re-humidified, the top came back to almost flat. that says to me that the build is very good, as there are no loose braces, or cracks from the drying out. I replaced the saddle, and removed the fishman UST and controls, replacing the pickup with a K&K mini, and bought a pickguard blank that matched the tortoise pickgurad on the guitar, cut a rectangle of it out to cover the hole in the side, strung it back up with some extra light strings, and it instantly became my go-to for every gig, and whenever I needed an acoustic at the house or studio. I love this guitar and have spent enough time working on it and playing it that my other guitars are jealous :)
