KRAMER SIGNATURE SERIES

KRAMER GENE SIMMONS AXE

Kramer's Gene Simmons Axe guitar and bass were both designed as replicas of an Old English Executioner Axe. Despite the unusual design they were equipped with standard Kramer hardware, forged aluminum neck and polyester finish. Kramer planned to make 1000 of these instruments but the actual number made is probably less than 500 during 1980-1981 - so these are highly collectible instruments. They should have a Gene Simmons signature and serial number on the axe blade under the clear coat.

KRAMER GORKY PARK

KRAMER produced the GORKY PARK in 1989. It was shaped like a Russian Balalaika. This was the period just before the fall of the Berlin wall and the Soviet Union and this was the signature model of Alexey Belov (of the Russian glam metal band Gorky Park) - but Alexey's instruments were custom made for him whereas the production model of the Kramer Gorky Park was made in Korea. It had USA and Russian flag graphics on the body as well as an orange "GP".

KRAMER NIGHTSWAN

KRAMER introduced the Nightswan in 1987 as a Vivian Campbell Signature model. The Nightswan was based on the custom Shredder guitar built from Warmoth parts by Buddy Blaze for Campbell in the mid 1980s. This guitar had a scaled down super strat body had a 24.75" scale length bolt-on neck with reverse headstock, two Seymour Duncan humbuckers (in the bridge and middle positions). The dot fingerboard inlays have an unusual diagonal vertical spacing

KRAMER PAUL DEAN SIGNATURE

Kramer introduced the Paul Dean model in 1986 and discontinued it in 1988. This neck-through superstrat was the signature model of Paul Dean - the guitarist from Canadian rock band Loverboy and you can see it in Harvest Yellow finish on the video for "Heaven In Your Eyes". The Paul Dean model had a mahogany strat shaped body with slightly squared horns. The pickups were HSS configuration: with a Seymour Ducan JB humbucker and the bridge and two Seymour Duncan Vintage Staggered Single Coils.

KRAMER RICHIE SAMBORA SIGNATURE

KRAMER made the RICHIE SAMBORA SIGNATURE model as part of their Artist Series between 1987 and 1989. This model was a super-strat based on the old pacer body shape but with a more rounded edge. A distinctive star shaped sticker adorns the top of the body and there are matching star shaped fingerboard inlays. Pickups are three Seymour Duncan Jazz (SH-2) humbuckers (JBs at the bridge and middle with a JN in the neck position). This model was discontinued in 1989 when Sambora agreed a Fender signature deal.

Kramer described the Riche Sambora model as follows in 1987:

KRAMER RIPLEY (STEREO GUITAR, RSG-1)

Steve Ripley's stereo guitar was originally unveiled in 1983 - but Kramer's version did not appear until late 1984. Eddie Van Halen used custom Ripleys and this lead to Kramer releasing their own Ripley (RSG-1) model. The Ripley was a essentially a Kramer Baretta but with a multi-channel Bartolini humbucker. Each string had its own knob on the lower rear bout of the body which allowed you to individually pan that strings output in the stereo spectrum. The circuit was powered by two 9V batteries.
