The Kramer Striker 400ST was the Korean made budget version of the twin humbucker Rhandy Rhodes V model. Initially (in 1985) the 400ST had a Floyd Rose tremolo without fine tuners and no locking nut. In 1987 the bridge was changed to a Floyd Rose II unit with fine tuners, recessed cavity and a locking nut and the headstock shape changed to the banana shape.

In 1988 this model's name was changed to the ST400 and it had Seymour Duncan designed pickups by this time. At this time the headstock shape also changed to a pointed design and was black-faced with a large "KRAMER" logo. Rosewood or maple fingerboards. There were extra finish options including metallic blue, metallic silver, violet, fluorescent pink, fluorescent yellow and fluorescent geen.

In 1989 the Kramer ST400 was discontinued.

I have a guitar collection. One of them is this exact Kramer guitar with Floyd hardware (locking nuts). It is the best playing guitar I own. I can bend a string until the tip of my finger slices off and the strings never break. Fantastic lead action. Compared to a "Corvette" Gibson, and a "Mustang" Fender, this guitar is a Lamborghini.
