Series name:
The Ibanez GSR 200 is a low-cost bass guitar with an individual look and feel. For the price (less than $200 in 2007), the GSR200 is a reasonable instrument for a beginner.
The body is made from Athagis wood with a bolt-on one-piece maple neck. The rosewood fingerboard has medium frets with black pearl dot inlays. The GSR200 features a thin GSR4 neck profile, which might help the beginner with smaller hands. As is usually the case with budget instruments, the electronics aren't top notch. Pickups are P-style at the neck and Jazz style at the bridge. This bass has active EQ (Ibanez Phat II Bass Boost) and 2 volume and 1 tone controls. Finish is black, white, transparent red or blue.
