Kevin Corcoran opened a guitar shop in Gilroy California in 2001, selling high-end acoustic guitars. During his time running this shop Corcoran met many players, visited all of the major manufacturers and observed the full range of construction techniques. This experience led him to develop his own guitar building philosophy: each Corcoran instrument is built from scratch using an elegant design that is not a direct copy of anything else. Corcoran guitars are offered in three sizes which roughly correspond to a Gibson 00 size model, a Martin OM/000 size model and a Taylor Grand Auditorium size model.
