Marcus Dominelli is a luthier based in Victoria, British Columbia, who specializes in making both modern lattice braced double top and traditional classical guitars. Dominelli has been  a full time luthier since 1998. He had started an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker but left to attend the Timeless Instruments School of Lutherie in Saskatchewan, run by David Freeman (a student of American lutherie pioneer Charles Fox).  After graduating from Timeless hemoved to Victoria, B.C., where he worked at Old Town Strings Instrument Repair Shop with Dave Cahil, and James Hamm while also making his own guitars in the evenings and on weekends. After his children were born he scaled back on the repair work to build guitars full time.
