EPIPHONE SC-450

Epiphone SC-450 electric guitar

The SC-450s were made in Japan by Matsumoku from 1976 to 1979.

The SC-450 has a three piece maple body with a scroll on the upper horn and a German carve around the body. The set neck is also three-piece maple with an ebony fingerboard, dot inlays and brass nut. Scale length is 25.5 inches, and the fingerboard width is 1-11/14 inches at the nut. The 24 fret neck joins the body at the 21st fret.

Hardware is chrome plated including a fully adjustable tune-o-matic bridge and stop tail-piece.

EPIPHONE S-600

EPIPHONE produced the S-600 between 1986 and 1989. The Bennder tremolo was replaced by a Steinberger KB unit from 1988 onwards. The headstock shape changed 4 times: the original pointy Jackson style headstock had to be changed to a rounded version to avoid a lawsuit, then in 1988 they had hockey-stick shaped ones which changed again in 1989 to a crooked elongated hockey-stick shape.

EPIPHONE SC-350

Epiphone SC 350 electric guitar

EPIPHONE made the SC-350 between 1976 and 1979. The SC-350 has the characteristic SC body with scrolled bass bout and German carve. The three-piece bolt-on mahogany neck, has an ebonized maple fingerboard with white dot inlays. The chrome hardware is the typical Gibson style configuration with 3-a-side tuners, wraparound bridge, 2 humbuckers, volume/tone controls, 3-way selector. It came in the Mahogany finish, only.

Epiphone SC-350 owner Bill Ware reports that his guitar (bought in the early 1980s) has single-coils under
the humbucker pickup covers.
