Gioachino Giussani was born in Milan in 1949, he currently lives and works in Anghiari, Italy. After completing his Arts degree he learned guitar making from his uncle Carlo Raspagni, a luthier in Vignate (Milan). Giussani established his own workshop in 1976, in Milan, making, repairing and restoring stringed instruments. Since 1983 he has devoted exclusively to classical guitar, with particular attention to the new acoustic-environmental requirements of modern performance venues. He has achieved international success thanks to the appreciation of world renowned guitarists. He moved to Tuscany to be closer to the creativity and serenity of nature, and he works surrounded by the Tuscan hills and enchanting medieval villages from where he draws inspiration
