Information:

The Gowers were a Nashville family of guitar makers who made electric and acoustic guitars out of their garage from 1955 onwards. In the mid 1960s J.W. Gower joined forces with Billy Grammer and Clyde Reid to form RG&G Musical Instruments, Inc. (Reid, Grammer, and Gower). The company made Grammer branded acoustic guitars from 1965 - with other Gower family members working in the factory. Later in the 1960s Gower split from the company and made similar looking guitars to the Grammers, but with Gower instead of Grammer on the headstock. Gower electric and acoustic guitars were available until the 1970s.
