Jim Williams was an Australian maker of acoustic guitars, classical guitars and mandolins. Williams started making guitars in 1977 after attending the School of the Guitar Research & Design Center in Vermont, USA. On his return to Australia he opened his own workshop specialising in the repair, restoration and construction of guitars. From 1981 to 1983 he ran a guitar making school. He retired from guitar making around 2011 due to ill-health and died in 2018.
