Lap King lap steel guitars are made by Jason DuMont, who has been making instruments since 1997. His first instruments were classical and acoustic guitars, made while working for the Kaman Music Corp. He worked in  Kaman's bowed instrument department setting up violins, cellos & basses then their Ovation factory. Finally he moved on to work for Hamer guitars (owned by Kaman).  Lap King lap steels celebrate classic American styling and craftsmanship and use top quality components.
