Manufacture of the Cort G254 began in 2002. Its a version of the Cort G250 with a basswood body and no pickguard. When introduced the G254 had HSS Mighty Mite pickups but the current G254 model has Bluebucker Pro HSS pickups (BPEG5-F, BPEG5-M & BPANC-2R). Apart from the pickups, relatively little has changed overtime with this model, the original offset dot position markers are now centrally located abalone dots.

I bought the g254 off Craigslist for 80.This guitar rocks. Nice body shape, extremely comfy neck and fretboard. Pickups are mighty mites are probably the weakest link. Easy fix, I have a new set in the way. Very nice bridge(Wilkinson tremolo) and tuners.

This guitar is of surprisingly good quality! Up there with a MIM Strat but rockier feeling. Great neck pickup. Neck is a little wider and chunckier than a Strat, and the offset dot inlays in earlier models takes s little getting used to. Totally giggable guitar!
