Jim Triggs, an American luthier, desgined a series of guitars (TRG-1, TRG-2 and TRG-Chamber) for Cort in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Triggs began building guitars in the early 1980s, influenced by such luthiers as John D'Angelico, Elmer Stromberg, and Lloyd Loar. Triggs worked as a master luthier Gibson's custom shop. He is reknowned for his archtop guitars and his clients include Alan Jackson and Steve Miller.
The TRG-1 and TRG-2 are Gretsch style archtops with one and two pickups respectively. Their translucent orange finish also screams Gretsch. The TRG-Chamber has a semi-hollow body and combines a unsual body shape with Gibson type electronics and a Fender scale length.
